About Us

Tara's Dance & Theatrical Arts is a premier dance studio with top professional instructors.  Conveniently located in Norwood, NJ, near the border of Rockland County.  We are situated in a freestanding building with ample parking-our private entrance is located in the back corner of the bulding.  Tara's Dance & Theatrical Arts is dedicated to the education of all dancers.  Whether you are a beginner or the most advanced in your class...whether you just want to dance for fun or want to dance professionally, we have the classes for you!  We specialize in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, and Mommy and Me, (Twirling Tots).  Parents of preschool age children will benefit from our special promotion for ages 2-4 years.  We also offer fun and exciting opportunities for students involved in our Dance Company.  We attend regional and national competitions, dance conventions and workshops, have performed at Six Flags Great Adventure, Halftime at WNBA Liberty, and Opened for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  Our solo performers hold titles from elite competitions including:  "Senior Miss Dance Educators of America", "Senior Miss Sophisticated Productions", "Teen Dancer of the Year"- Dance America, "Junior Miss Sophisticated Productions", "Petite Miss Sophisticated Productions" & "Petite Dancer of the Year"- Dance America.   Many of our students go on to study dance in college, as well as dance professionally.  Our quality teaching staff emphasizes proper technique, creativity, performance ability and personal growth.  Our teachers have excellent credits including Broadway Shows, National Tours, European Tours, Ballet Companies, Regional Theater, Cruise Lines, Film, Television, National Commercials and Print Ads.  We are certified through Dance Educators of America & Acrobatic Arts.
